Tech Tip #1- Grounding Your Racecar

We often have customers who call in with issues that usually lead back to cars not being grounded properly. Check out this article and watch the video to see the correct way to ground your racecar!

Grounding is very important when using a fuel injection. The sensors of the fuel injection rely heavily on a good ground to produce an accurate output. In the video below, we will be showing you how to correctly ground your racecar.

You should have an eight gauge wire going from the negative terminal of your battery to an engine case bolt as depicted in the video. This will be your main ground point from now on. All other ground wires from your harness and accessories should be routed to that spot.

Junction points and grounding the frame or body should be avoided at all costs, as they have shown over time to be unreliable and lead to problems down the road, even if they work fine for you.

Hopefully this can help some of you as you ground your racecars. Happy racing!
